Those who know me know that I love a good gift, which means I love any occasion where I might receive a gift. Valentine’s Day definitely qualifies as one of those days, and I must admit it’s up there on my list of favorite holidays. This year, the husband and I set a $100 limit for our presents to each other. And lucky for him, many of the gift ideas in the collage above are under that limit. 😉
You can’t wear fur for too long in Texas, but February is definitely a month where it’s usually cold enough that you can. Thus, I’m trying to get as much use out of mine as possible. I snagged this neutral one on sale last season at Nordstrom. I can’t find the exact one I’m wearing, but this one from Joie (on sale) is extremely similar in coloring and style. I layered mine over one of my favorite Joie sweaters (really, I love almost everything Joie – it’s such an effortlessly chic brand – and I can’t wait for their spring stuff to come out!), and my J. Crew cords.
Another thing I’ll point out are the Kendra Scott bangles I’m wearing on my right arm. My aunt bought me those for my birthday this year and I wear them so often. So, if you’re looking for a versatile bangle set, definitely consider these.
As I have mentioned on the blog before, I’ve recently started a new job in town. I’ve been there for a month now, and I’m a little ashamed to admit that I have yet to decorate my office. My co-workers have are starting to give me a hard time about it, so I guess it’s time to begin my search for cute things! So, shopping around for office decor and accessories has been taking up some of my time lately, and there is definitely some neat stuff out there – some of which I have compiled in the collage above.
I’ll admit – some of the stuff I love is too expensive for me to purchase myself. Plus, the space I’m in now won’t be my forever office, so it’s not quite worth a hefty investment at this point in life. But, there’s no harm in looking, right?! Like this fabulous gold tray perfect for displaying things like this cute stationary, this fabulous stapler (yes, a stapler can be fabulous – welcome to my world!), and this simple yet chic business card holder. I also can’t get enough of this lamp, which is on the more affordable end of the spectrum. It would add a great pop of color to my space, and I’m considering this one or some similar to it.
Earlier this fall I spent some time looking for an army-style jacket that was a little less military and a little more sophisticated. I think this one from J. Crew is the perfect mix of the “sophisticated military” style I wanted. I found this striped infinity scarf at the same time, and you can’t beat the price – especially for the versatility. Another new purchase that I love are these Kendra Scott bangles. They really add sparkle and texture.
