Here’s a little “Pretty in Pink” Valentine’s Day outfit inspiration to get your week started. I found this flirty pink Rebecca Taylor dress at Nordstrom and then filled in the rest of the look around it. This YSL clutch has been on my wish list for some time now, and one day it will be mine! To dress things up a little more, I really like these Nadri drop earrings – and they’re only $45! Hope you enjoy….
Last Friday, my husband and I hosted our 4th annual Christmas Party at the Caswell House in Austin. Every year it’s a hunt to find the perfect dress. In the past, I’ve gone with red lace options a couple times, and one year it was Christmas green sequins. But, this year, I wanted something a little different. Something that made me step outside my box a bit.
I knew I had found the perfect option when I stumbled upon this 2-piece dress by Black Halo (number 5). I’d never worn a midi skirt before (I love them, but have never had the occasion to wear one) and this one was the perfect shade of red. It runs a little small, so size up if you decide to purchase. I paired the dress with those amazing Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ pumps (number 11).
I’ll post pictures of that particular look in a future post, but for now I’ll hopefully help y’all out a bit on your own hunt for the perfect Holiday Party dress. I am pretty obsessed with that metallic gold dress by Tibi (number 14) – I almost purchased it myself. If sequins are your thing, number 4 above would look great with some black hose and pumps. If you’re into lace, then the Dianne Von Furstenberg metallic lace shift dress (size up on that one too) would be a great choice.
It’s almost Thanksgiving! To get y’all prepared, I’ve put together some outfit inspiration ranging from a day out at the ranch to a more dressy affair. Regardless of where and how you’re spending your holiday, I hope these looks inspire you!
If you’re anything like me, you’ve always got a J. Crew wish list. They’re constantly coming out with new items that I just have to have. Unfortunately, we are living in real life and not my dream world, so buying everything I want just isn’t a responsible option. What I can do, however, is share my wish list with all of you! That way maybe you’ll buy something that you just have to have, and I can be happy knowing that you saw it on this blog first. We all win.
So, here’s a peek at my current J. Crew wish list. First, I am so happy that high waisted jeans are back in vogue. Not only are they flattering and classy, but they’re so much more comfortable. Now, about that coat. I actually own last year’s version of it, and oh it is so chic. You will not regret that decision. I’m currently crushing on the aubergine color option. Finally, if there’s one thing on this list I will probably purchase for myself, it’s those plaid loafers. Despite their unique pattern, I actually think they’re very versatile.
It’s almost Labor Day Weekend! I love any excuse for a good BBQ with friends and family, so consider me a fan of this American holiday. When I think of Labor Day, I think of a big, outdoor party celebrating the end of summer. Even though it’s going to be hot in Texas for a little while longer, it’s still fun to look forward to fall. But, before we get there, there’s still time to throw on some white jeans and rompers! Here’s a few red, white, and blue outfit ideas to give you a little style inspiration for your Labor Day Weekend.
