Desk Accessories

desk and office accessories #decorAs I have mentioned on the blog before, I’ve recently started a new job in town. I’ve been there for a month now, and I’m a little ashamed to admit that I have yet to decorate my office. My co-workers have are starting to give me a hard time about it, so I guess it’s time to begin my search for cute things! So, shopping around for office decor and accessories has been taking up some of my time lately, and there is definitely some neat stuff out there – some of which I have compiled in the collage above.

I’ll admit – some of the stuff I love is too expensive for me to purchase myself. Plus, the space I’m in now won’t be my forever office, so it’s not quite worth a hefty investment at this point in life. But, there’s no harm in looking, right?! Like this fabulous gold tray perfect for displaying things like this cute stationary, this fabulous stapler (yes, a stapler can be fabulous – welcome to my world!), and this simple yet chic business card holder. I also can’t get enough of this lamp, which is on the more affordable end of the spectrum. It would add a great pop of color to my space, and I’m considering this one or some similar to it.

Happy Friday!

No matter where you live, it’s a pretty safe bet that for most of you it’s pretty chilly outside. Even in Texas where we’re known for our warm weather it’s been in the 30s and 40s the past couple weeks. Although I’m partial to warmer temps, there is a silver lining in that I can live in cozy sweaters – there are so many great ones out there right now!

I’ve compiled a few of my favorite sweater weather finds for you in the graphic above. If I had to narrow it down to just a few – I really like number 3, number 10, and number 11.

Happy Friday!,

Fashion Finds for New Years Eve

New Years Eve styling ideas #newyearseve #style

I look forward to hunting down the perfect New Year’s Eve outfit every year, and each year it gets tougher for me to narrow down my options. Sequins, lace, feathers, and fringe are all acceptable options which makes the hunt that much more fun. This year, rather than my usual dress, I decided to go with these Milly sequin pants paired with a button up blouse (post to come). I also love this Shoshanna midi skirt which would work perfectly with these Christian Louboutin pumps.

Just a quick post today! Sorry y’all – it’s election season in Texas, and things are busy around here.

A few things to note – newly obsessed with Aquazzura shoes (number 4) thanks to Merritt Beck at The Style Scribe. Also, Tory Burch has a new watch line and item number 1 in the graphic above is on my holiday wish list. I own that fedora from J. Crew, and it is amazing and really well priced (just $65) especially for the quality. And these booties from Kate Spade?? I die. They’re just more proof that adding a bow makes pretty much everything better.

Happy Friday!

Winter Coat Shopping Guide

winter coat shopping guide

Winter is coming!

Generally speaking, I try to add a new coat (or two) to my wardrobe every year once it starts getting colder outside. I naturally lean towards a more classic look, which is great since it means my coats will last me year after year and won’t go out of style.

No matter what your budget is, there really are great finds out there in every price range. I’ve scoured the internet and chosen my favorites at several price points. In the “Save” category, I really like the collarless Sabine color-blocked option for a bit of a twist on a ladylike coat. For the “Spend” category, I’m also going with the color-blocked option – this time the Madewell black and tan number. I own number 1 and number 4 in that category, and I must say they’re both great.

As far as the “Splurge” category goes, I mean how can I really choose just one? It’s a close call between the coral RED Valentino with the bow detail and the belted olive coat by Burberry.
